Diamond Chrome Plating
Diamond chrome offers superior abrasion protection with excellent lubricity and release. This chromium composite matrix coating has an ultra-high dispersion of nanometer sized, spherical shaped diamond particles which take abrasion and wear protection to a whole new level. This exceptionally hard composite coating increases the surface hardness of your tool, mold or component, while significantly reducing friction and corrosion. This advanced coating material offers long lasting protection for even the most abrasive applications.
Diamond Chrome Plating Benefits
An 85+ Rockwell hardness rating - Application possible in up to a .002” thickness
- Excellent strippability
- Abrasion protection at least 25% better than hard chrome plating and superior to titanium nitride
- Application at very low temperatures to any ferrous or non ferrous substrate, resulting in no compromise to the metal’s shape or size.
