the best fit for your project. The following are solutions to size and dimensional
problems, listed in order of their effectiveness when dimensional correction is your
primary concern.
This process allows us to apply a uniform plating in thin deposits for close tolerance and detailed dimensional correction and sizing with minimal to no machining needed. Recommended for correcting minor dimensional flaws in tools, dies and parts, this high phosphorous electroless nickel coating provides superior corrosion and oxidation protection for your components. The process also provides moderate abrasion and wear resistance and lubricity and release properties and is suggested for clean room and medical applications.
The electrolytic sulfamate nickel process is used primarily for selective plating heavy deposits. This ultra pure chemistry allows us to correct most out of specification dimensions without pits and irregularities.
The hard chrome plating process is good for use on permanent shims or on heavy deposits that will require secondary finishing operations. This coating offers moderate corrosion and oxidation protection with excellent abrasion and wear resistance properties. We recommend this solution when you are looking for exceptional durability.
Our miniature precision corrections, with welds as small as .005, can help restore and dimensionally adjust your component with minimal distortion to the base material. This weld can be benched and polished to provide a seamless and virtually invisible correction for minor damage or surface imperfections.
