Lubricity and Release Solutions
Bales customers know they can count on us for top quality lubricity and release solutions. Our
trademarked coatings and finishes reduce friction and provide uniform treatment to
your tool or component. We focus on your specific requirements and our engineers
add their expertise in product development to create the optimum end result.
We offer a variety of solutions for improved lubricity and wear properties. The following list includes some of the more frequent lubricity and release problems and our typical solutions. They are listed in order of effectiveness when lubricity and release are your biggest concern.
For optimal performance from our traditional coatings, the surface finish should be evaluated. In most instances, the better the surface finish, the better the lubricity and release. Our highly-skilled polishing department can establish the required and best finish for your application.
This coating produces an extremely low co-efficient of friction which provides superior lubricity and release properties and a excellent level of abrasion and wear resistance. This electroless nickel phosphorus coating incorporates boron nitride particles in a co-deposited nickel matrix. This custom engineered solution is our best answer to unique release problems.
This coating significantly improves release and provides excellent lubricity. Due to the co-deposition of PTFE & nickel, NICKLON®’s self-lubricating properties work well in grease-free conditions. Our autocatalytic application ensures a uniform deposit in even the most complex details.
This super hard diamond chrome composite provides excellent lubristic characteristics as well as superior abrasion and wear resistance, at a new level. Diamond chrome can be applied up to .002 thickness and at very low temperatures; this does not compromise the shape or size.
This process improves lubricity and release over the base material due to the hardness of the deposit. The coating also offers superior hardness and excellent abrasion and wear resistance properties. Hard chrome plating is widely used in many industries worldwide, including the mold making industry, where there is a need for durability and wear resistance.
